how you do something
is how you do everything
I’m a problem solver with a passion for building business and community through creativity. With a diverse background in design, strategy, and leadership, I help translate ideas and drive innovation to move forward.
About Alex
I grew up in Chicago, spending most of my early days drawing posters and playing music. As the youngest son of an architect father and an immigrant mother with natural gifts in gardening and crafting, I was encouraged to be both creative and practical.
My design work has taken me around the world and through decades of disruption. With agency, in-house, and consulting work, I’ve worn many hats. Sometimes a creative director, sometimes a project manager, but always strategic and doing what needs to get done.
After moving to the East Coast, first in NYC and now in CT, I’ve learned to blend art and science by balancing the relentless energy of the city with the ecological wisdom of rural communities. The future is for our kids, and I’m here to help build one that is cleaner, safer, and more accessible.
Values
Quality
Setting the standard high and doing our best. But not letting perfection be the enemy of progress.
Action
We can’t think our way into results. Growth comes from taking small steps consistently and learning from setbacks.
Big Picture
Details matter, but impact is everything. And sometimes small levers drive the most change.
Simplicity
When in doubt, leave it out. The best design is as little design as possible.
Team First
People aren't projects. We need leaders, not managers. Everything is connected, and everyone wins together.
Sustainability
Are we creating value or waste? At what cost? Designing with the end in mind helps us move in more harmonious ways.
Working together
Alex is an amazing colleague and often goes above and beyond to mentor younger colleagues. He has a broad knowledge base and a flexible way of thinking and working that easily accommodates others. He's unafraid of new approaches and pursues projects to an inspiring level of dedication.

Alex fundamentally changed our creative organization and its people for the better. He was everything I wanted in a design leader — strong creative direction, a deeply empathetic and mature manager, highly process-minded, curious and eager to learn new tech or methodology; and a trusted, autonomous partner with an owner's mentality.

Alex is exceptionally clear and concise in his attention to all aspects of the design process, a true leader in the field of collaborative and holistic design modalities. He is an excellent communicator and innovator, with great follow-through. Alex is a real asset to any design team and process he engages in.

Enjoy the ride
Like many good origin stories, Lost Title began with a trip to Italy. During my studies, I developed an appreciation for democratic design and blurring the lines between disciplines. The name is inspired by my vintage P200 and the undefined road that comes with a creative career.
